Wondering more about the nuts and bolts of working with me? You've come to the right place!  If you have a question that isn't addressed here, just ask and I'll respond as soon as possible.

Can we meet with you before hiring you for our wedding?
Of course!  Being comfortable with your photographer is essential for natural, flattering photos, and meeting beforehand gives us the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange ideas about your wedding.  I love meeting in person, but if you're not local to the Connecticut area, I'm happy to chat via Zoom, FaceTime, or on the phone.

What are your rates, and what is included in your packages?
I offer four different collections starting at $2600, as well as a variety of additions (albums, engagement session, 2nd photographer, etc).  All wedding collections include a password-protected online gallery, high-resolution photos for personal use, and professional editing for color, exposure, and cropping/straightening.  For additional pricing info, please fill out the contact form.

Do you use an assistant or second photographer  Who are they?

For weddings with a 2nd photographer, I have several colleagues who I've worked with before and have a similar style to my own.  They're all full time professional photographers as well, and I trust them 100% to complement my work and represent my business.  For weddings without a 2nd photographer, I may have an assistant to help carry gear, hold light stands, gather people for group photos, and backup memory cards on-site.

How do I book you for our wedding?
Please contact me to check availability.  Wedding dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, and are reserved upon a contract agreement and collection of a date retainer fee.

Do we need to reserve you a meal at the wedding?
Yes, please!  A fed photographer takes better pictures than a hungry photographer. A provided meal is requested for myself and second photographer/assistant for any event lasting five hours or longer.

Will you be taking our photos, or do you outsource other photographers?
Not only will I be your photographer, but I'm also the guy you're in touch with from initial meeting to delivery of the final product. When a second photographer is hired, I choose only those with a comparable style and skill level as my own.

Do you travel to far-away locations?  Is there an charge extra for this?
I love a journey to somewhere new as much as I love photographing it, and I ‘d be happy to travel to your event location!  No travel fee for locations within a two hour drive from Wallingford, CT.  For venues farther away, I request a hotel room and additional travel expenses - and due to its variability, I prefer to arrive 24 hours in advance to any location requiring air travel.

What kind of equipment do you use?
I use full frame Canon R5 camera bodies, a variety of professional lenses, and lighting equipment to photograph in virtually any situation. I always bring along backup gear as well...just in case!

How many pictures do you take, and how soon can we see them?
I can take several thousand photos during the course of a wedding, but after culling and editing, I typically deliver 70-100 photos per hour of coverage, which can be expected 4-6 weeks from your wedding day. A sneak peek of a dozen or so photos will be sent within a couple days of your wedding, so be sure to keep an eye on your inbox!

What happens if you get sick or have an emergency?
While I'm healthy and spry 99% of the time, not everything can be predicted.  Rest assured that any second photographer I hire is fully capable to stand in as the main photographer in the event of an unforeseeable emergency.  For weddings without a second photographer, there's a fantastic and talented network of photographers that I can lean on...not just strangers on internet forums, but people I've worked with, shared dinners and drinks, and trust to treat a wedding they're covering for me as their own.  In the extremely unlikely event that neither myself nor a colleague are available to photograph your wedding, you will be given a full refund of any payments received.  I've photographed several hundred weddings and events with a 100% attendance rate, so it's something I take very seriously!
